Larry Ferrari & His Two-Tiered Organ

He looks like a good time guy, doesn't he? A 1950s promotional postcard for entertainer and recording artist Larry Ferrari. Another recent flea market find.

Andy Warhol On Wheels?

Image from a 1969 Brillo Soap Pads promotional contest. The winner got a far out set of groovy Pop Art wheels to take to their next Be-In.

1948: Picture Discs With A Purpose

Two of a series of 1948 7-inch picture disc records given to me by a friend. They extol the virtues of cleanliness and circumnavigating those pesky oral fixations.

Souvenir: Asbury Park Casino

A metal tray I purchased a few years ago with an embossment of what was then the "new" Asbury Park Casino. (Click image for a detailed close-up.)

Baptist Church Fun Gun

I was lucky to find this oddity about 4 years ago at an outdoor flea market in PA: A toy gun (in cardboard) with paper athletes that shoot from it when you hold it just so and snap your wrist forward. I can't imagine ANY church today (Baptist or otherwise) using a toy gun to promote itself to youthful parishoners.

Here Comes The Weinermobile!

An amazingly cool 1950s Oscar Mayer Weinermobile toy given to me as a gift a few years ago.

Desktop Relics

Some hand-me-down-items (like the Speculator, NY souvenir eyeglass holder) and some antique shop acquisitions (such as the bakelite desktop thermometer with rolling calendar) from desktops of years past.

Recent Acquisitions: New Old Vinyl

More black platters: I am especially fond of Father Jim Miller's pipe organ LP, which was (like the rest of this lot) purchased during some recent visits to flea markets in Pennsylvania.

Say It With Glass

Three 1960s novelty glass dishes from my collection. These were often available at greeting card shops or mail order novelty outfits, but I found these pieces found at flea markets.
